Gosu = A gamer with superior gaming technique, good manners and sportsmanship
Gosu is Korean and litterally means "a high hand" (as in the person who has the upper hand).
On the internet, the term is often used to describe someone with great skill in head to head games such as StarCraft and WarCraft III.
The opposite of Gosu is Hasu ("lower hand") - a so-so player.
GosuGamers use the term to describe a person who has superior gaming technique, good manners and displays great sportsmanship.
We do not claim to be of that standard - far from it - yet our ambition is to set it up as a common goal for the members of our community.
We yearly nominate the "Gosu Gamer of the Year" in StarCraft and WarCraft.
